Fall Letter from Neil
As the days get shorter, the temperature is getting cooler and the leaves are changing colors we have finally made the move indoors for the Winter Indoor Season. There is a lot going on here at the College Racquet Club.
First of all the lobby renovations will be finished shortly, after a few minor setbacks with our contractor.
Secondly the Men’s and Women’s tennis team have had a very good Fall. The women won the CACC conference regular season title and the CACC Conference Team Championship this past weekend ( 10/26-27) ! In addition 4 players were named to the CACC All Conference Team and Ebba Rosberg, a freshman from Sweden was voted the CACC Player of the Year and the CACC Rookie of the Year.
The Men’s Team had Michele Fenoaltea & Tobias Lentz win the ITA East Region Doubles Tournament in September. This win qualified them for the ITA Oracle Cup in Rome, Georgia. The Oracle Cup is a National event where they won 2 matches and lost one match. This should get them ranked top 10 in the Country.
Thirdly the CRC Junior Programs are in full swing. We have programs ranging from the 10 and under Red ball, Orange ball Green ball to our Elite High Performance program. There are still available spots in the 10 & under Classes, call for information.
Fourthly, the ladies USTA teams are having weekly practices and the weekly Matches have started!
Our Staff here at the CRC is looking forward to a very active Winter hope you can all join us for Instruction, Competition as well as Fun!
